Tumsong 2nd Flush Darjeeling
Located high in the hills of Darjeeling, Tumsong has long made great teas. This was very evident, as they were one of the few estates that make a muscatel Darjeeling. Muscatel is that rare tea for which the tea growers want an insect infestation. When these leafhoppers start munching on the tea leaves, the tea plant retaliates by making a bug repellant. It turns out that this particular repellant has a lovely fruity flavor that is reminiscent of muscatel grapes. Always a joy to sip!
